I challenged Pavel's Custom Book Restoration to bind and add a leather cover to a paper book produced in the 1940's by a middle school class for a cross-curricular project. The result was impressive, meticulously crafted and completed in a timely manner. You can trust any project you place in his care will be handled with respect and professionalism.

My father’s family were University professors; so I have a large and diverse library; I purchased my first antiquarian book at the age of 17 (De Rerum Natura). Between my medical practice in Oregon and my medical practice in Colorado, I worked in the Rare Books Archive of our local University. I know antiquarian books and have seen a host of restorations. Pavel’s work is impeccable: the leather Emerson that my father carried through his college years is solid without appearing restored; my great grandmother’s Elizabeth Barrett Browning can be handled, read and enjoyed by another several generations of Allins and the 1783 medical text, though hardly appropriate for modern consultation, will outlast the texts I used in medical school. If you have a valued book, you can safely place it in his gentle, capable hands.

Well worth the money - beautifully restored Bible with 20 years of personal notes intact and ready for another 20 years or more. Pavel even embossed the new cover with my name, just like the original. So glad I found Pavel's Custom Book Restoration!
